Control Software for BMG LABTECH Microplate Readers

The Reader Control Software offers an intuitive and easy to understand user interface. Editable “App” buttons, predefined and user-defined, on the main control screen allow for easy access to your most commonly used test protocols.

App Buttons for Protocols

Single-click App buttons can be added to BMG LABTECH’s control software. These one-click App buttons can be programmed with predefined protocols provided in the software or they can be programmed with a user-defined protocol. When linked with a MARS Calculation Template, measurements and data analysis are completed with one simple click of the App button.

Some of the predefined protocols included in the software are: DNA/RNA concentration, protein concentration (Lowry, Bradford, BCA), ELISAs, Cell growth, NADH/NAD+ conversion, DLR®, ADP-Glo®, LanthaScreen®, HTRF® cAMP and IP-One, LANCE®, AlphaScreen®, AlphaLISA®, Transcreener®, Fluo3/4/8/ calcium flux, GeneBLAzer®, PathHunter®, Picogreen®, GFP, and CFP-YFP, to name a few.

Nano Buttons
One-click App buttons on the SPECTROstar Nano make it easy to measure routine assays in microplates, low-volume samples, or cuvettes.

Predefined to User Definable Protocols
Installed with the Control Software are predefined protocols of the most popular assays. From these a user-defined protocol can be copied and changed, or a completely new protocol can be started from scratch.
The BMG LABTECH Reader Control Software is extremely versatile, running multi-step assays including multiple reagent injections, shaking, and using advanced timing features kinetic assays. For more complex tasks, BMG LABTECH offers unmatched flexibility with built-in script mode. This allows for multitasking different assay measurements into one.

Real Time Data Display

The control software offers a real-time data display during measurement. The well scanning feature allows reading multiple points in each well - especially useful for cell based assays. These features can also be displayed in microplate or well view.

Enhanced Data Analysis and Robotic Integration Capabilities

The measurement data is automatically transferred to BMG LABTECH's MARS Software for comprehensive data analysis.

ASCII Format

The measurement data can also be stored in dBase or in ASCII format. The extensive ASCII export function is the most versatile in the industry. It is highly configurable and can be customized for LIMS systems and 3rd party analysis software.

Active X and DDE Robotic Interfaces

For High-Throughput Screening, the Reader Control Software allows readers to be controlled through ActiveX or DDE interfaces for easier robotic integration. For mid-throughput, the 50 plate capacity Stacker is available.
BMG LABTECH has integrated instruments with many robotic platforms.
