The PHERAstar® FSX and CLARIOstar® microplate readers offer the best possible performance for AlphaScreen®, AlphaLISA®, and AlphaPlex™ assays. This is thanks to a dedicated Alpha Technology laser which outperforms any xenon-based light source by exciting donors at 680 nm. Excitation lasers significantly improve performance and lower limits of detection. Compared to xenon lamps, they yield higher excitation energy at a specific wavelength.

This dedicated excitation source provides a broader dynamic range and increased signal-to-noise ratio for AlphaScreen®, AlphaLISA®, and AlphaPlex™.
