We invite you all backstage and introduce the people behind our microplate readers. Today: Introducing cat-lover Chloë. She provides the backbone of our logistic infrastructure in the UK.
My name is Chloë. I am the In-House Service Manager at BMG LABTECH UK. From our office in Aylesbury, I manage the in-house service team who is responsible for different duties such as: repairs, quotes, warehouse management, etc. I joined BMG LABTECH in November 2014, previously I worked in HVAC, scheduling engineers.
What does your job entail?
I manage the In-House Service team of 3 in the UK office. Duties involve warehouse and parts stock management, in-house repairs and troubleshooting, service contract management and quotes. I also schedule and book work for our field service engineers.

What do you like most about your job?
The variety of work and providing good customer service.
What do you like most about BMG?
We produce excellent products and provide outstanding customer service. How everyone is made to feel welcome and the friendships I have made here.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I like reading, going on walks, spending time with family and friends. Spending time with my cats!

Where’s your favourite place in the world?
The English countryside in summer or anywhere by the sea.
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
Someone in Christchurch, New Zealand so I could go and see my sister and meet my nephew!
If I weren't so damn good at my job, I'd probably be
doing a job involving books.
What drives you every day?
The knowledge that growing old is a privilege many people don’t get.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from.
